We are seeking a Controller to become an integral part of our team!
In this role, you are responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, month-end close activities, internal and external reporting, and annual audits. You will contribute to the timely and accurate issuance of financial statements and provision of meaningful analysis of variance on business performance.
Engaging regularly with internal as well as external partners, including cross-functionally, so strong collaboration skills are desired.
Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments
Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, and cost accounting
Responsible for monthly close including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, reviewing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance and preparing management and operational reports
Interact corporate staff to share ideas and develop best practices across the organization
Develop, improve and issue timely monthly financial records for Corporate
Assure financial plans are consistent with organizational goals
Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, products costing, etc. when necessary (Cost reduction opportunity identification and monitoring and Benchmark/trend reporting)
Interface with outside audit firms(s), banks, casualty/liability insurance agent(s), credit card companies, and collection agencies
Previous experience in accounting or other related fields with manufacturing experience e plus
Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
Experienced with top-tier ERP systems (GSS Preferred)
Experienced in implementing/maintaining internal controls
Strong leadership qualities
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA is a plus
3+ years’ experience in progressively responsible accounting roles with manufacturing experience a plus
