Rookwood, a leader of handcrafted, artisan Pottery and Architectural Tile, is looking for a hands-on Social Media Content Creator to join our marketing team in Cincinnati. Ideal candidate will develop and curate engaging and relevant social media content for a brand with 143 years of incredible history.

We are looking for a creative self-starter who appreciates artistry and heritage and aims to attract and retain social media followers, increase brand awareness, and drive user engagement and ultimately contribute to the growth and success our our retail, e-commerce, and B2B lines of business.

The Role: 

• Develop and execute an impactful social media content strategy that showcases the timeless beauty and craftsmanship of Rookwood Pottery while resonating with our diverse audience.
• Create stunning visual content, including high-quality images, captivating videos, and compelling written copy that highlights the uniqueness of Rookwood's ceramic artistry.
• Collaborate closely with our marketing team to understand the intricate details and artistic stories behind each Rookwood creation, translating them into engaging and authentic content concepts.
• Maintain a consistent posting schedule across our social media channels, curating content that captivates our audience and promotes Rookwood Pottery's distinct collections and limited editions.
• Monitor social media trends, industry influencers, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for content enhancement and stay ahead of the latest market developments.
• Engage with our dedicated community of followers, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries, while fostering a sense of belonging and excitement around Rookwood Pottery.
• Utilize analytics and insights to measure content performance, audience engagement, and reach, using data-driven strategies to optimize future content plans.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience as a Social Media Content Creator or a related role, with a demonstrable portfolio of successful social media campaigns.
• A deep appreciation for art, craftsmanship, and ceramics, with a genuine enthusiasm for Rookwood Pottery's rich history and creative legacy.
• Strong storytelling and copywriting skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to convey Rookwood's brand essence through compelling narratives.
• In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and their unique audiences, as well as an understanding of social media best practices.
• Proficiency in using social media management and content creation tools to curate engaging and visually appealing posts.
• Basic graphic design and video editing skills are advantageous, allowing for the creation of eye-catching visual content.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
