Carew Tower Tile
The Carew Tower tile was originally created in 2010 to commemorate the historic significance of one of Cincinnati’s most beloved buildings. As an Art Deco inspiration, the Carew Tower was born of the booming 1920s, when architects around the world sought to design massive building complexes that would magically function as cities within cities.
The decision to carry out the project of the Carew Tower during the Great Depression was a vote of confidence in the future of the city of Cincinnati. This city tile magnificently beaming over our cherished Fountain Square was designed and sculpted by Rookwood artist Gary Simon.
