Rookwood Kids: Animal Hand-Painting Class

Let your little artist’s imagination run wild at Rookwood’s Workshop Studio! Guided by one of our expert polychrome artists, this hands-on experience is designed for kids ages 8 to 14.

Choose a Figurine
Kids can choose from two delightful ceramic animals: our adorable Abel Cat or Abel Bear—ready to be transformed into their own masterpiece.

Learn from a Rookwood Artist
Using vibrant glazes and kid-friendly tools, children will learn simple painting techniques in a fun, step-by-step session led by a Rookwood artist.

Time for You, Too
While the kids paint, feel free to relax and wander around Rookwood or explore the sights of historic Findlay Market—just steps away from our studio.

Fired & Finished with Care
We’ll glaze and kiln-fire each painted piece to create a lasting keepsake. You’ll be notified when it’s ready for pickup!
