"Inspired by a dip in a Catskills watering hole, Swimmers is a salute to summers in the water. Just as Clawfoot is an ode to the bath, this vessel honors the importance of swimming in my creative and personal practice. To be in the water is to escape the demands of the technological world, and to feel my body in the current of the natural world. The glaze interacts with the illustration to create the feeling of submersion and the gentle warmth of the sun above." — Julia Lipovsky
