Rook Bookend Set

A pair of rooks stands proudly on grapevines, surrounded by leaves and clusters of grapes. The design carries a special connection to Rookwood’s history: Maria Longworth Storer, founder of Rookwood, was the granddaughter of Nicholas Longworth, who cultivated Catawba grapes on the hillsides of Mount Adams and established one of the earliest successful vineyards in the United States.

Mount Adams would later become home to Rookwood’s original factory, which still stands proudly today, overlooking Cincinnati and the Ohio River—much like the rook keeping watch from its perch.
