More than a bird, the rook is a symbol of Rookwood itself—its namesake and emblem for well over a century. Long associated with wisdom, protection, and creative intuition, the rook represents the spirit of the studio: rooted in tradition, propelled by possibility.

Designed by artist Terri Kern, the tile draws inspiration from Rookwood’s early 20th-century bird motifs, reinterpreted with subtle textures, graceful movement, and a deep respect for form.

Part of the Revival Bird Collection—a series of four tiles celebrating birds in flight: robin, blue jay, rook, and cardinal. Collect one, or gather the full flock.
