A group of fireflies is called a sparkle, and sparkle is exactly what this vase does; notably it is the only gloss overspray vase of the collection. The bright, ultramarine background spray becomes a night sky that the fireflies emerge from as they land on blades of grass in the foreground. Please note that there are a few glaze blisters caused by the gloss interacting with the underglazes during the final firing.
