This tile was created in 2008 by Rookwood artist Gary Simon to commemorate the historical bridge that connects the cities of Cincinnati, Ohio and Covington, Kentucky. In 1866 the bridge was completed. At that time, it was the longest suspension bridge in the entire world. Combining both function and beauty, this symbol of Cincinnati has graced our skyline for more than a century, only growing more beautiful each day. This tile is intricately carved, flawlessly matching the stone and metal textures found in the bridge.
